Merrill Lake, located within the Merrill Lake Natural Resources Conservation Area, is a lake formed by lava flows. Merrill Lake is a catch-and-release fly-fishing lake that is open to non-motorized boating. Spring through fall camping (on a first-come first-served basis) is mostly walk-in from the main parking area, with a few sites accessible by vehicle.

Lower Pines is located along the Merced River in Yosemite Valley. Yosemite Valley is centrally located in the park and boasts some of Yosemite’s most iconic features.

The campground is typically open May through October. All sites are reservation only. The campground is situated along the East Fork of the Kaweah River.
