Elmore State Park is known as the beauty spot of Vermont because of its breath taking views and location. It can be seen from the peak of the 2608 feet Elmore Mountains. Fort Dummer State Park is at the foot hills of the Green Mountains, in the Connecticut River Valley. Just outside Brattleboro, the park is spread over 217 acres of forest land.
