The Canyon City campground sits 7.7 mi (12 km) from the Dyea trailhead. It is just a half mile from the historic Canyon City townsite, where you can see artifacts leftover from the gold rush days. (Please do not take or disturb artifacts!)
In order to camp overnight along the U.S. Crossing the international U.S.-Canada border via the trail is prohibited as of 2026.
